What am I saying?

Writing is my first love. I hope, like Kahlil Gibran, to write a single winged word before I die. In the meantime, I’ve fallen for more visual forms of language – photographs, digital composites, films and animations. Tools to mimic the syntax of nature. To join in the onrush of the digital world.

Ideas that provoke the threshold of understanding. Ecstasies that brush the supreme mystery. Love. These are my concerns and my only concerns.

What I am saying, then, is more invitation than statement. A reminder of the ghosts that haunt our histories and wait for us, fully fleshed, in the future.

Veil Sea

The cold made the water viscous, and instead of waves great hills rose steaming out of the water and hung apexed like breached whales in the moonlight.

We sat on the rocky beach. Babies at their mother’s ankle, sipping her words in hopes of someday being able to speak them ourselves.
